Sweet Caroline Tour w/ Jay White - Neil Diamond Concert Celebration
The “Sweet Caroline Tour” is a Neil Diamond Concert Celebration starring the #1 Diamond performer in the world - Jay White.
It is without question the most authentic Neil Diamond Concert Experience on the planet as it features Jay backed by a 10-piece musical ensemble that includes key members of Neil Diamond''s Tour Band. Conceived in response to Mr. Diamond’s retirement from the concert stage due to his Parkinson’s diagnosis and the huge demand from audiences worldwide to enjoy the music of the Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame icon in a live music setting, Jay’s Mission is to pick up the torch, pay homage to his music idol and entertain Diamondheads of all ages while generating financial support and awareness for Parkinson organizations worldwide. As such, proceeds from each Sweet Caroline Concert event will benefit Parkinson patients and caregivers in every city the Sweet Caroline Tour plays.
Over the last three decades, Jay White has performed over 8,000 concerts around the world reflecting the stage persona of an American Music Legend. Each expression of every Neil Diamond song performed by Jay evokes the power and the passion of a live Diamond performance. Jay first starred as Diamond in the critically acclaimed Las Vegas-based “Legends In Concert” for several years, then moved on to headline his own Neil Diamond show at the Riviera Hotel Showroom for a decade. Jay then sparked international interest in 2008 when he was cast by Director Ron Howard to play Neil Diamond in the Academy Award Nominated film “Frost/Nixon”, which was followed up in 2012 by his being cast as the lead in a musical/drama entitled “Beautiful Noise”.
Jay met Neil Diamond on two separate occasions at the MGM in Las Vegas and appeared in Neil’s Box Set CD/DVD “Stages” where Neil encouraged him to “Keep up the good work”. On a signed photo of the two, Neil wrote: "Jay, keep singing, so I can stay home and relax. Your friend in music - Neil”. Needless to say, Jay is not only grateful that his years of dedicated hard work have convinced tens of thousands of Diamond fans that he is the closest thing to the Real Deal…but also that he’s been acknowledged and embraced by Neil, Neil’s family and Band for keeping the Brooklynborn singer/songwriter’s music alive in the most respectful, convincing way possible.
Jay recently commented about Neil and his family: “Their kindness and acceptance have always been greatly appreciated and I’m honored to have appeared with Neil on his DVD. Now, more than ever, I will continue to pay homage, through each and every performance, to the man who has meant so much, to so many, for so long.” Whether recreating the magic and mystique of the Neil Diamond sound and stagecraft in concert venues of all sizes, with symphony orchestras or for private corporate gatherings; Jay White has no equal when it comes to bringing the true “Feel of Neil” to adoring audiences on stages the world over.
