The purpose of this fundraising jazz concert is to bring together community-based organizations, medical providers, case managers, community partners, developers, state holders, volunteers, faith-based business partners, and most importantly persons with HIV to bridge the gap in HIV services and empower persons with HIV to advocate for themselves by "Making a Difference and Working Towards a Brighter Future". This benefit concert is providing support systems for people living with HIV and their families.
Donna is an electrifying and dazzling jazz showstopper. She graduated from the New York Academy of Theatrical Arts, with formal studies at Juilliard. Her European concerts include dates in Paris, Switzerland, Ireland, Italy, and Wales. She has performed at the Metropolitan Opera Guild Recital Hall in Lincoln Center, Central Park's Naumburg Bandshell and at Carnegie Hall. She has engaged audiences in many more U.S. cities including Phoenix, Miami, and Nashville.
Donna is at home on the concert stage whether performing with her 18-piece big band, The Diamond Jazz Orchestra; the 80 member Gold Coast Concert Band or her dynamic jazz trio. In 2020, Donna and her quartet released the seventh CD Set Your Heart Free and eighth CD, La Di Da & Ho Ho Ho. This Christmas spectacular hit #2 on the Roots Holiday Music Chart.
Her fifth CD in 2017, Feeling the Jazz, was launched with a sold-out performance at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. The NFL came calling with the Professional Football Players Mothers Association Superbowl Luncheon, a premier event during Superbowl LIV week in Miami which Donna sang for the reception. Donna is featured in Expert Profiles: Conversations with Influencers and Innovators, Volume 11. As an international jazz vocalist, she shares her inspiring story and her love of music.
Donna’s festival appearances include the Nebraska International Jazz Festival, Bethany College Jazz Festival in Kansas, and the Saratoga Arts Festival in New York. She recently sang the National Anthem to an enormous crowd for the Miami Dolphins. In 2021, her jazz song turned gospel favorite, Take God’s Hand. has stayed #1 for nine weeks in a row on the Roots Religious Music Chart.
This past Christmas, Donna sang for the former ambassador in South Africa at an intimate gathering. Look forward to her upcoming performance on the Harmony Travel 2022 Scandinavia Tour, singing in Copenhagen, Helsinki, Oslo, and Stockholm.
