Hard Promises is New York State’s longest performing Tom Petty Tribute show. Hard Promises is comprised of five veteran Central New York musicians. The members of Hard Promises have shared the stage with Starship, Eddie Money, Dickey Betts, Blues Traveler, Loverboy, Lou Gramm, Joan Jett, Blue Oyster Cult, Great White, Spin Doctors, and the legendary B.B. King. Hard Promises has performed for, literally, 10’s of thousands of people at festivals and casinos.
Hard Promises provides a musical tribute to the legendary Songwriter, Tom Petty. Named after the famous Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers album, Hard Promises honors the music of Tom Petty by giving the audience the songs that they love as closely as possible to the original. Rather than try to “look” like Tom Petty. The group focuses on providing the energy and musical integrity that Mr. Petty deserves. From FreeFallin’ to American Girl, from Refugee to Here Comes My Girl...Hard Promises plays them all. A full two-hour show which will please all Tom Petty fans.
