BARCLAYS Performing Arts Presents Dracula @ The Kelsey Theater
BARCLAY Performing Arts is proud to present the WORLD PREMIERE of DRACULA – AN ORIGINAL CLASSICAL METAL OPERA in CONCERT, written and composed by Mo Font as the second show in their BARCLAY Baseline series. Based on ideas and themes from the original censored version of the novel, the show mixes elements of classical opera and heavy metal. When Jonathan Harker is sent to Transylvania, his new employer the Count Dracula becomes smitten with the idea of his fiancée, Mina Murray. Mina, meanwhile, is caught in a secret love triangle between her fiancé Jonathan, and her best friend Lucy Westenra. Once Jonathan escapes the mysterious clutches of The Count and his harem of undead wives, the couple find themselves attacked on all sides by The Count and his lunatic assistant, Renfield. Dracula is a new adaptation of Bram Stoker’s classic novel full of love, death, and vampirism.
